Strongest global brand performers 2025

WeChat retained its position as the world’s strongest brand in 2025, surpassing Google, based on the evaluation of factors such as marketing investment, brand performance among customers, staff and stakeholders, and impact on business operations. According to the index, WeChat scored 95.2 out of 100 points. Nike followed, with a score of 94.7 points, while Google ranked third.

Google: a strong and valuable brand

  Besides brand strength, brand value is another common metric of a company’s performance. The term, not to be mistaken with brand equity, is used in the marketing industry to describe the value of brands based on the implication that products with a famous brand name can generate more money than those with a less well-known name. In 2023, Google’s brand value amounted to 281.4 billion U.S. dollars, putting the American tech company in the top three most valuable brands globally. Additionally, in 2022, Google was among the fastest growing brands worldwide, with a nearly 80 percent growth rate in its brand value.
